A big congratulations to Neurosteer, a Life Sciences and Healthcare company that developed a medical-grade wearable device and cloud-based system that provides real-time monitoring and assessment of brain activity. THE PRIZE As the winner of the Roche for a Better Future Alzheimer’s Innovation Challenge, Neurosteer will receive NIS 100K from Roche Israel (about 30K euros), a system check by [PS1] Roche's accelerator in Berlin, and mentorship hours with medical and venture capital experts. THE STORY BEHIND THE CHALLENGE “We agreed with Roche that Alzheimer's, a disease affecting 55 million people worldwide, is short on solutions and that Israeli innovators potentially have the knowledge, the experience, and the technological tools to supply them,” explained Global Partnerships Manager Sharon Gour Arie, “Start-Up Nation Central leveraged its deep familiarity with the local ecosystem to identify the companies with the highest potential and rally them to the cause. The response from the industry was incredible. Even though this is a very specific health issue, we received dozens of submissions from Israeli HealthTech startups.
